Does the SmartStick™ always have to be in the device to record data? No, data is stored on the device first and then transferred to the SmartStick™. So if the SmartStick™ was not inserted correctly, or was not inserted at all during therapy, data would be automatically transferred to the SmartStick™ the very next time it was correctly inserted into the device.
When is it safe to remove the SmartStick™? When the CPAP is turned off, or in standby mode, and when the light is not flashing on the device.
Who do I send the SmartStick™ to? Your healthcare provider – when they request to see it.
What does it mean if the light on the SmartStick™ does not go on? Check there is power to the device (standby mode). If there is still no light, check that the Fisher & Paykel Healthcare logo is upright (printing is not upside down).

The SmartStick™ LED light is red – is there something wrong with the stick? No, the light may vary in color but any light means the SmartStick™ is correctly inserted
