Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corporation Limited (NZX:FPH, ASX:FPH) advises that Pip Greenwood has been appointed as a non-executive director of the company with effect from 1 June 2017. “We are very pleased to announce Pip’s appointment to the Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Board,” said Chairman Tony Carter. “Pip brings considerable talent and experience to the Board, and we look forward to her contribution as we continue to improve care and outcomes for patients around the world. “Pip will replace Lindsay Gillanders who will retire at the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting in August. Lindsay has been a valuable member of the Board since 1992 and has made a significant contribution to the company in that time. By having Pip join us now, we will be able to ensure a smooth transition when Lindsay retires in August.” Pip is a leading figure in the field of commercial law. She is a board member and senior partner at Russell McVeagh, with over ten years' experience on its board and has served as the firm's Board Chair. Pip joined Russell McVeagh as a Partner in 2001 and has since advised on many of New Zealand's market-leading transactions that have changed the face of different industries. She served as a member of the New Zealand Takeovers Panel from 2007 to 2011 and is a current trustee of the Auckland Writers Festival. The Fisher & Paykel Healthcare board has determined that Ms Greenwood will be an independent director. A resolution to elect Ms Greenwood will be put to shareholders at the company’s next annual shareholders’ meeting in August 2017.
