Auckland, New Zealand, 30 January 2024 - Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corporation Limited today announced the launch of a significant update to its F&P myMask™ App.
 
The updated F&P myMask App* now offers mask selection and sizing in addition to the existing step-by-step education and support video content. Healthcare professionals can easily “Select, Size and Assist” while with a patient, or do so remotely via a simple text invitation to a patient’s smartphone.¹
 
Without the need for conventional physical sizing guides, this feature reduces the time and guesswork associated with traditional invasive sizing. It offers consistent selection and sizing standards, regardless of the type of mask. Physicians and clinicians can have confidence in better understanding their patients and accurately selecting the best size for them.²

This service is now available via invitation only in the United States and is expected to launch into Canada, Australasia and Europe in the coming months.  
 
*These new features are invitation-only. Healthcare providers will need to create an account to use these new features. Patients will need to be invited by their healthcare provider.

Patients do not need to create an account to use any of the features on the myMask App. No patient sizing data is transmitted to perform the myMask selection and sizing process, and no sizing data is stored after processing. We are internationally certified with ISO27001 and certified with ISO13485 in New Zealand.
² The F&P myMask App sizing accuracy was tested on 73 participants in 2023. When compared to the use of calipers, the F&P myMask App was found to have a median accuracy of > 91% (Confidence interval 90 – 95%) across three measures: face height, nose height and nose width.
