Our approach is to operate our business in a resilient, efficient and responsible manner, while improving care and outcomes for patients and creating a positive lasting impact on society and the environment.
Our response to climate change
We enable transition and build resilience through:
- Understanding the impact of climate change on our business through scenario analyses and developing potential ways to respond and manage risks.
- Identifying opportunities to minimise the environmental impact of our products and operations, increase our business resilience and enable sustainable profitable growth.
- Integrating transition planning into our long-term business plans and including implementation plans into our annual business planning cycles.

Ecodesign in R&D
We embed environmental considerations into product development as a means of minimising the environmental impacts of a product throughout its full life cycle. We want to reduce total global carbon emissions and enable our customers to do the same.
Decarbonisation
We have a number of carbon reduction initiatives underway across the business. We are committed to building a resilient business and drive meaningful progress in lowering our carbon emissions.
Product supply network design
We include climate-related impacts when assessing our infrastructure, operations and supply chain as we build resilience and develop a global network that can respond to customer and market requirements and enables innovation.
