Scott St John Appointed to Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Board


Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corporation Limited (NZSX:FPH, ASX:FPH) advises that Scott St John has been appointed as a non-executive director of the company with effect from 1 October 2015.

Scott brings with him a wealth of financial skills and extensive experience that will strengthen and complement those of our board. Scott’s appointment now will ensure a smooth transition when Roger France retires later this year”, said Chairman Tony Carter.

Mr St John was appointed Chief Executive Officer of First NZ Capital in 2002. He joined First NZ Capital's predecessor company, CS First Boston, in 1993 following seven years at Hendry Hay McIntosh.
Mr St John is Pro Chancellor of the University of Auckland, where he has also chaired the Finance Committee. He is the former Chair of the Securities Industry Association, an incorporated body representing the interests of the sharebroking industry, and a former member of the Government appointed Capital Markets Development Taskforce and Financial Markets Authority Establishment Board.

Mr St John is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and of the Institute of Finance Professionals of New Zealand (INFINZ).

Mr St John will also succeed Roger France as the Chair of the company’s Audit & Risk Committee.
The Fisher & Paykel Healthcare board has determined that Mr St John will be an independent director. A resolution to elect Mr St John will be put to shareholders at the company’s next Annual Shareholders' Meeting.
