Our assessment of fair pay considers the total package of remuneration, which includes fixed annual remuneration (base pay and benefits) and discretionary variable remuneration (annual, long term and all employee profit share components). We review our total package remuneration on an annual basis.
We fully support the principles in the United Nation’s Declaration on Human Rights and the International Labour Organisation Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, including non-discrimination, freedom of association and collective bargaining, and freedom from forced and child labour. We seek to uphold human rights in all business activities.
In 2018, we ran a global employee engagement survey, in which we asked our people their thoughts on working at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. The survey was open to all permanent full-time, part-time and fixed term employees, and was made available in eight languages. Results were communicated to the business through workshops and presentations, and managers were supported to implement new ideas and strategies borne out of the survey.
