We recognise we have a responsibility to care for the natural environment while we pursue our business goals. Climate change is a growing concern among our customers, investors, and our own people. Furthermore, environmental legislation is emerging in countries where we manufacture and sell our products, so it is important that we strive for continuous improvement in this area.
Reporting on key metrics is one way we hold ourselves accountable in this area. You can find more detailed environmental, social and governance disclosures in our latest Annual Report.
Our New Zealand site environmental management system is certified to ISO14001, the international environmental management standard. We are audited annually against that standard and certified tri-annually by the Swiss-based European notified body, Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS).
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Ltd meets the requirements of Carbonreduce® certification having measured greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with ISO 14064-1:2006 and are committed to managing and reducing our impact in respect of the operational emissions of the organisation.
