Reduction of Dead Space
The video aims to demonstrate the reduction of anatomic dead space which is a key mechanism of Optiflow. It begins with a background of the method we have adopted using CT scans to model an adult human upper airway. Using computer simulations, presence of CO2 is demonstrated in both unassisted breathing and Optiflow.
