Optiflow nasal high flow therapy

Proven respiratory support

What is NHF?     Who is NHF for?

While many terms describe nasal high flow (NHF) therapy (aka HFNC), one stands out:
Optiflow™ NHF therapy.

Optiflow NHF therapy provides respiratory support to your patients by delivering heated, humidified air and oxygen at flow rates up to 70 L/min via an Optiflow nasal interface and systems such as Airvo 2 or Airvo 3.

Check out the Micro Moments high-flow series on the Education Hub. There you will learn more about high flow therapy, how it works and why the therapy is so versatile.

High flow: Who benefits and what the evidence tells us
Published guidelines highlight the breadth of application of high flow therapy. Explore the table.

Hundreds of randomized controlled trials have been consolidated into clinical practice guidelines.

We’ve created a table that will help you review the guidelines by patient population and application.

Options for delivering Optiflow high flow therapy
There are several ways to deliver Optiflow therapy. Check out our quick guide below

1. You can use a dedicated, standalone device such as the Airvo Optiflow system

2. Otherwise, use a nasal high flow-capable mechanical ventilator. We call this a vent-driven system

See the images below and, for more details, download our equipment guide.
